The work consisted of replacing existing oil-fired boilers (3,000 kWt) and chillers (1,500 kWf) at the central heating plant of an office complex with 1 x 250 kWt heat pump + 2 x 500 kWt dual-stage heat pump, totaling 1,250 kWt and 1,050 kWf. As part of the project, 2 first groundwater extraction wells and 3 re-injection wells were drilled to serve a total maximum flow rate of 180 cubic meters/h. The centralized air/water heating and cooling system, consisting of 2 air handling units plus fan coil units and radiators, has remained unchanged. TEON heat pumps simultaneously produce heat and cooling for much of the year. The presence of radiators, the large hydraulic circuit, and the presence of an intermediate exchanger between production and distribution made it necessary to produce hot water at temperatures no lower than 70 °C, while chilled water is delivered at 7 °C.
